A guest post with a few characters from the Sydney underworld Hosting a guest post, and choosing who to invite today wasn’t easy. Getting the mix right took a while, and of course consideration had to be given to who would want to come and who might be pissed if left out. Carol was easy (she always […]
I’m currently working on the third book of the “In The Sydney Underworld” series, and would like to invite you all to visit my website and sign up for an ARC, if interested.
The other two books in the series, Heather, and Flank Street were released in August 2014, and May 2015 respectively. Each book is stand-alone. They share locations and a few characters, and can be read in any order. Does that make it a series?

Noir and neo-noir fiction and movies. Noir was an easy choice for today’s letter ‘N’ for the April A to Z Challenge. Noir is one of my favourite genres in both books and movies. The core of popular noir stems from authors such as Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain – “The Postman Always Rings […]
Flank Street, that is … I closed the door on Flank Street a few days ago, the story complete and ready for the editor and beta readers. It felt good, although I will miss some of the characters’ daily visits, and nightly intrusions into my dream world. The title, Flank Street, was just a working […]
I took a different approach to writing Flank Street than I did to writing other books. I wrote the last page first, called it a prologue, and then worked out how the MC would get there. It was fun and the writing went fast. It’s written in first person from the view of Micky DeWitt, a […]
